Job Summary
Reporting to the Director PWMS the PWMS Administrative Coordinator provides administrative and clerical assistance and coordination to Public Works and Municipal Services Department as well as to other Departments on an as needed basis.
Duties

  • Provide reception duties including receiving messages and coordinating requests for work orders and service
  • Prepare correspondence documents and reports
  • Ensure manual and computerized filing and databases are maintained and current
  • Assist with the preparation of annual budgets, work plans and researching and preparing funding proposals and reports
  • Maintain staff work records and assist staff in preparing timesheets and travel claims
  • Provide input on new program and policy development for both public works and housing
  • Prepare invoices for accounts payable and receivable
  • Backfill for administrative staff when away or times of high workload
  • Assist with other programs on occasion as required.
    Essential Qualifications
  • Diploma in office administration, with course work and/or experience with MS Office
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in office administration
  • Training in policy development, work plans and budgets would be an asset
    Conditions of Employment

  • Valid Cass 5 driver’s license
  • Current Driver’s Abstract
