Kluane First Nation and members of the community have teamed up to start a Community Greenhouse. The "Greenhouse Committee" was struck and members have been learning about gardening in the North. They have visited successful greenhouses in the Yukon and some members attended an agricultural symposium in Fairbanks in October. Combined with the knowledge of our local gardeners and the education they are receiveing this year. The community greenhouse project will have lasting health and wellness benefits for the community.
If you would like to get involved in this exciting initiative contact members of the committee Sandy Johnson, Mary Jane Johnson or Geraldine Pope.
